I was tagged by my new friend and fellow animal lover Patricia from Bookish Geek to participate in a new (and my first!) book tag! This was created by For The Love of Books, and called the Do Re Mi tag, based off the song we all know and love from The Sound of Music.
HERE WE GO!
Do, a deer, a female deer: Name a character with an animal sidekick
Dexter and his dog, Monkey, from This Lullaby, by Sarah Dessen. I loved their relationship, and I loved how Remy started to love and take care of Monkey, too.
Same idea
Re, a drop of golden sun: A character who puts a smile on everyone’s faces
Vera from This Adventure Ends, by Emma Mills. Vera is a great friend and a great sister, funny, bubbly, sweet and supportive. She lights up the room.
Really lights up the room.
Mi, a name I call myself: A character who’s name you always pronounce wrong
Pretty much everyone from the Throne of Glass series, by Sarah J. Maas. I read this series on paper the few times, and was saying things in my head TOTALLY DIFFERENT than they do in the audiobook. Celaena, Chaol, Manon, Aedion, Nehemiah, Elide. All wrong. That took a lot of getting used to.
Correctly, if you will
Fa, a long long way to run: A character who is forced to run away from home
Every kid in The Darkest Minds series, by Alexandra Bracken. Technically, most of them are running away from government run “rehabilitation camps”, but they’re still escaping and on the go.

Like this guy
So, a needle pulling thread: A character who’s a healer or puts people back together
Obviously this goes to my boyfriend, Noah Shaw from the Unbecoming/Confessions series, by Michelle Hodkin. I can’t spoil these books because they’re too amazing, so if you haven’t read them yet go see for yourself.

When you get what you want but not what you need
La, a note to follow so: Someone who’s a bit of a follower
Cath, from Fangirl, by Rainbow Rowell. She’s not a follower per se, but she’s quiet and introverted and really keeps to herself. She’s going to the same college as her twin sister, and if it weren’t for her roommate, Cath would never go anywhere except class. She was even living off of peanut butter and protein bars in her room rather than go to the dining hall alone.

We’re following the leader, the leader, the leader
Ti, a drink with jam and bread: A food that a character made you want to eat, and who that character is
Desserts baked by Nastya from The Sea of Tranquility, by Katja Millay. She also consumes mass amounts of ice cream, but since I don’t like ice cream, I’m going with all of the delicious desserts she makes throughout the book. Sugar is her favorite food group, and she loves baking.
Om nom nom nom
This was so much fun! If you want to try it out, feel free to join!
I might have to do this book tag! It uses one of my favorite movies, and it is so unique. Thanks for sharing!
