Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This week’s topic: Books With My Favorite Color In the Title. My favorite color is actually a kind of turquoise blue, but since I didn’t know any books with turquoise in the title, I went with just regular blue.
1. Forever in Blue, Ann Brashares. I read this years ago so I don’t remember many details, but I know I enjoyed this series and liked the movies.
2. Blue Lily, Lily Blue, Maggie Stiefvater. I adore this series. Ronan & Adam & Gansey & Blue & Noah forever.
3. Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, April Genevieve Tucholke. In full disclosure, I didn’t like or finish this book, but it does have blue in the title.
4. Something Blue, Emily Giffin. I really liked the first book of this duology, and super enjoyed getting to know Darcy and Ethan better. Darcy comes off fairly one dimensional in the first book, and she becomes more fully developed in this one.
5. 13 Little Blue Envelopes, Maureen Johnson. Another I didn’t enjoy or finish.
6. Ramona Blue, Julie Murphy. I looove Julie Murphy, and I looove Ramona Blue.
7. The Blue Bistro, Elin Hilderbrand. Two things Elin Hilderbrand novels always have in common are Nantucket, and food. I usually listen to her books on audio, and I always enjoy them.
8. Into the Still Blue, Veronica Rossi. I love this series. This was an awesome end to it.
9. Girl in the Blue Coat, Monica Hesse. I own this one but haven’t read it yet. I’m always drawn to books set during the Holocaust/WWII/Nazi Occupation but also afraid to read them because they’re so hugely sad and emotional. I took a Holocaust class in college so I’ve read A LOT of books set in this time period, and I can never resist more.
10. Nantucket Blue, Leila Howland. This is the first in a duology, and I have mixed feelings about which book I like better. The romance in this one is for sure better, but the friends in Nantucket Red are back together and I much prefer that to them fighting in the first one. Either way, I greatly enjoyed both. Vaguely forbidden romance, best friends who have hit a huge bump in the road, all set on the beach? I’m in.
Bonus:
Red, White and Royal Blue, Casey McQuiston. This one is so far away from being released that it doesn’t even have a date or a cover yet, but I’m super excited anyway. Here’s the synopsis: RED, WHITE AND ROYAL BLUE is a joyous reimagining of 2019 in which the President of the United States is a woman and her son falls in love with the Prince of Wales. This is a romance of bacchanalian proportions. It’s everything my extremely liberal heart never knew it always wanted and I need it immediately.
What color did you pick this week? Did I miss any great blue ones? Let me know in the comments!
I also picked blue but I decided to do it with books that have the blue on the cover. I was so happy to see Something Blue and 13 Little Blue Envelopes. Those are two books I really enjoyed. I just recently got Ramona Blue. I can’t wait to read that.

My favorite color is turquoise as well. I couldn’t find any books with turquoise on the cover so I did the same post with red color 🙂 They really need to design book covers in turquoise shade.

I really love this take you had on it! I actually just got approved for the new Emily Giffin book on Netgalley last night (which surprised the hell outta me, she’s a “big ticket” author?!) – haven’t even THOUGHT of her since high school!
