Down the TBR Hole #1-5

down the tbr hole

Down the TBR Hole is a weekly book meme created by the wonderful Lia @ Lost in a Story that attempts to organize our ridiculously long Goodreads TBR list by choosing either to keep or eliminate the books we’ve saved on there.

Here’s my first ever attempt at culling my Goodreads Want-to-read shelf! It currently clocks in at over 2200, and I generally put anything that looks remotely interesting on it, so I’m looking forward to getting it in a bit of order.

walking disaster

Walking Disaster, by Jamie McGuire. Back in the day I really liked Beautiful Disaster, so as soon as the companion book was announced I added it to my list. But I pretty quickly lost interest in these, especially when there ended up being like 5 of them.

Verdict: SEEYA

fuse

Fuse, by Julianna Baggott. I listened to the first of this trilogy on audio, Pure, years ago, and could never decide if I wanted to read the next one.  And now it’s been like 5 years, I don’t remember anything about the first one, and I don’t think I care.

Verdict: Buh-bye

beautiful day

Beautiful Day, by Elin Hilderbrand. Looks like it’s about a wedding? On Nantucket? Whatever. I’ve read a lot of Elin’s books, but I think this one never made it off my TBR shelf for a reason.

Verdit: Laters baby

winter garden

Winter Garden, by Kristin Hannah. I went through a phase of adding every Kristin Hannah book to my list after reading a single one of hers, so I’ll let this one stand for all of them. And I’m going to say that since I haven’t looked at any of them since adding them to Goodreads…

Verdict: Outtie

all the rage

All the Rage, by Courtney Summers. I’ve read several of her books and a few were eh, but a few I loved. I’m pretty sure this is the last unread one I have of hers.

Verdict: Keeper
And that’s a wrap for my first Down the TBR Hole! What do you guys think? Are there any I should have kept?

Oh no!!!! Don’t cull WINTER GARDEN from your list!! I completely loved that one! It was soooo good, and it’s one of the few books I still remember!

Seriously, though…I need to do this. I have books on my GR list that I have no idea why I ever added them!
