I’m so excited that my friend Sara tagged me in this one! Unlike a lot of tags, I have NOT seen this one floating around the blogosphere, so it’s all new and shiny and fun!
It’s your first Christmas at Hogwarts. What’s one book you’ve asked for this year?
I haven’t actually asked for anything for Christmas in years. I have trouble coming up with stuff to ask for, because typically whenever I want something throughout the year, I just…buy it. And I for sure buy books I want. I’m not what you’d call a “responsible spender”.
You spot Hagrid hauling the Christmas tree through the grounds. What is the longest (or heaviest!) book you own?

I’m guessing it’s Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas at 992 pages. If not, probably one of the Outlander ones.
It’s time for the famous Great Hall feast. What’s one book you can’t read without snacks?
I read most books while snacking, so I don’t know how to answer this question.
Well done, you’ve brewed your first Polyjuice potion. What’s one book you’d change the cover of?

I’d love to update The Lumatere Chronicles by Melina Marchetta. I adore this series, and the covers deserve better.
You receive a brand new Firebolt for Christmas. What’s one book you read super quickly?

Since I got laid off months ago, I’ve been tearing through books. I finished an ARC of Hope and other Punch Lines by Julie Buxbaum in a few hours yesterday.
You join Harry for his first proper Christmas. What’s one book you’d love to receive this year?

This one isn’t even out yet, but I’m dying for Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuinston. I feel like I’ve been waiting for years.
You get hit by one of Fred and George’s flying snowballs. What’s a book you wanted to throw across the room?

I know I drag this book a lot, but definitely The Chaos of Standing Still by Jessica Brody.
You’ve just visted Hogsmeade for the first time. What’s one popular book you haven’t read yet?

I would guess that it’s The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. I have a copy, I just haven’t read it yet.
Congratulations, you’ve been invited to the Yule Ball. What book about Christmas do you love?

I don’t have a favorite Christmas book, though I am partial to any book with a Christmas scene. I do, however, quite enjoy a few short stories in My True Love Gave to Me. I’m particularly drawn to Midnights by Rainbow Rowell, which isn’t even a Christmas story but a New Years Eve one.
You find Ron’s deluminator. What’s one book that’s helped you through some dark times?

Just as Long as We’re Together by Judy Blume, with this specific cover, was one of my favorites as a child. I read it so much that it fell apart and I had to replace it. It got me through many a boring night after everyone else was asleep because I was quite the insomniac as a kid.
This tag was so fun!! I’m tagging anyone who hasn’t done it yet, but especially Patricia.
I’m so happy to hear that you loved My True Love Gave to Me! That’s been on my TBR forever!
