Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This week’s topic is “Top Ten Extraordinary Book Titles”, and was submitted by Elise @ A Book and a Cup! I’m doing Top Ten of 2018, since this is the first year I started consistently tracking my favorites in Goodreads and it’s the easiest way I can think of to look them up.
I’m not posting covers this time, because I think these are really striking on their own, and I wanted to just focus on the words for once.
- I’m Not Missing, by Carrie Fountain. This one isn’t a thriller, but if I judged it just on the title, I’d think it was!
- A Spark of Light, by Jodi Picoult. I could do almost an entire Top Ten of Jodi Picoult titles, because they’re always so simple, but end up fitting the book so well.
- What If It’s Us, by Becky Albertalli & Adam Silvera. Something about this being a statement instead of a question makes it more effective for me.
- People Kill People, by Ellen Hopkins. I don’t know about you, but this instantly makes me think of the phrase, “guns don’t kill people, people kill people”…and that’s the idea.
- The Last Wish of Sasha Cade, by Cheyanne Young. It sounds sad before it even starts. Spoiler alert IS SAD IS SAD IS SAD.
- This Is Kind of an Epic Love Story, by Kheryn Callender. With a title like this, I didn’t even need to look at the premise to know I would love it.
- How She Died, How I Lived, by Mary Crockett. When I first heard this, I thought it sounded so mysterious. How who died??
- Four Three Two One, by Courtney C. Stevens. Is it a countdown? A number of people? A number of things?
- Unclaimed Baggage, by Jen Doll. Flight themes always get me!
Pages and Pugs 
I really like What If It’s Us, too, and the questioning, and the way it sounds like almost resignation and realization. Oooh, I really like How She Died, How I Lived. Makes me sound like someone is sacrificing themselves for someone else, and makes me think it’d be a real tear-jerker. :3

Oooh, I loved What If It’s Us, but I’m a sucker for a good YA romance haha. This Is Kind of an Epic Love Story is on my TBR. I’ll have to check out the others. Stooping by from the link-up 🙂
